JAPANESE MINIATURE GARDEN LANTERNS

AUTOCAD 2010 CREATION

I taught myself to be proficient with Autocad. Beyond the basics of drawing floor and structural plans, I have discovered that autocad’s  3D Modeling program could generate codes that instruct 3D printers to print models with plastic filaments. Here is one of my latest creation – a miniature Japanese garden lantern, also known as TORI in Japan.  The actual height of this  toro (lantern) is 8 1/2 in.

My great grandson  Lyrhin, 5 years old,  in the Liliuokalani Park – Japanese Garden.  Park is located in Hilo, Hawaii.

MINIATURE TORI, JAPANESE GARDEN LANTERNS

CUSTOM DESIGNED AND CREATED WITH A FLASH FORGE CREATOR 3D PRINTER.

My miniature lanterns measure 5 to 10 inches tall.  All the lanterns are printed with PLA filaments and its surfaces are spray textured to look like stone. If you have a miniature garden in your home or office, a miniature lantern would surely bring attention to its existance. If you are interested in purchasing a miniature garden lantern, don’t hesitate to email me, Tom @ knotticabinets@gmail.com or send text “TORI” to 808-987-5781 and I will respond back to you.
